Look, we try to keep up with what’s happening around the country with gaming and esports but sometimes it’s not that easy. So if we missed something, how about helping us by letting us know – it makes you a better person and helps keep the community informed.

Here are a few articles you may have missed from elsewhere:

Raru is celebrating their 3rd birthday with discounts and giveaways until 30 June. Head here for more.

Upcoming Events

ACGL have online tournaments for Rocket League, Call of Duty Infinite Warfare and Halo 5. Details can be found here. Call of Duty players can play for the R12,000 up for grabs in the Infinite Warfare tournament forming part of the MWEB GameZone Masters Series. Details here.

VS Gaming is hosting a variety of legs, cups and other tournaments, while Orena have kicked off their Orena Champions Series. There is also the ongoing ESL Africa tournaments, while there are these events to keep your eye out for:

  • Xbox Playdates ZA are hosting a number of playdates in May. The Thursday events start at 8pm, while the Friday F1 events begin at 9pm. You can get more information here about the regular gaming play dates.
    • 29 – Micro Machines World Series
  • VS Gaming is supposedly hosting the CS:GO Masters Cup this weekend. I say supposedly because at the time of writing there was pretty much zero information available publicly. Assume it will be streamed live and assume the best place to keep tabs on links is via their Twitter account.
  • The Royal LAN is being hosted in Polokwane this weekend. R100 gets you a seat and the event starts Friday 30 June at 12pm. It runs until Sunday 2 July at 3pm. The best link for information we have is here.
  • Cold Fusion LAN continues their almost monthly LAN action with a return to Laerskool Edleen in Kempton Park. From 6pm on Friday you can join other like-minded souls until 11am on Sunday. All for just R100. Head to the event page for more information.
  • Kosta Games is hosting a PS4 FIFA 17 tournament on Saturday 1 July from 1pm at Epic Lounge in Ormonde. For R180, you will find yourself playing for a R3,000 cash prize pool. Details are available here.

Remember to keep these days open for some upcoming action a little further in the future:
