Zombiegamer Events
A reminder that we have a busy period of events planned and details of some of them are now live. Details of the others will be released in the run up to the events.
Orena
Orena’s Battle for the Throne series saw the finals of both the Dota 2 and Hearthstone played a little over a week ago.
The Dota 2 final was an all Bravado affair with bvd.Emotion and bvd.Blue facing each other to determine the ‘Caeser’ for the current Battle for the Throne season. In the end Emotion took the honour with a 3-0 win over their “bothers”. The full bracket for the tournament can be found here.
Hearthstone saw Francois ‘Fafa’ Mouton of EAE Gaming crowned Caesar in a “convincing fashion!” He beat Derrick ‘Unsane’ Williams 3-1 in the final to set himself as the target when the next season rolls around. The full bracket can be viewed here.
A reminder that Orena is also hosting their ladders for CS: GO, Dota 2 and Hearthstone.

Southern Barbarians
The Southern Barbarians are back. The PC Battlefield team that for many are really team South Africa, took last year’s ESL Battlefield 4 Conquest Cup and are now participating in the Nitrado Nations Cup. There are 19 teams from around the world participating and the South Africans find themselves in Pool A with Turkey, Russia, Germany and Italy.
The team got off to a winning start with a victory over Turkey and are now due to face Russia tomorrow (Thursday) night. The match is expected to be streamed so keep your eye on their Facebook Page for details.
Telkom Gaming chatted with Southern Barbarians captain Sean “Suumpmolk” McCalgan to discuss the current tournament.
nAv TV
nAv TV have given their website a face lift. The new website offers links to their various streams and videos on demand, as well as suggesting that they will begin hosting their own tournaments soon.
TTSA
The Team Tandem SA crew hosted the first round of their Virtual Supa Drift. The usual issues of load shedding and connectivity issues meant the event was not filled to capacity, but that didn’t stop the rest of the contestants from getting their tires on the track.
The top three after the night’s competition:
- R1CKTH3R4CER – George Myburg S14
- Fauiltyjoker151 – Paolo Goveia 200sx
- LONG JNR – Himself E36
