**UPDATE**
Microsoft has announced the Windows 8 and Windows Phone 8 exclusive Halo: Spartan Assault. It will be available this July for $6.99 and is “the first top-down action shooter that brings a ‘Halo’ video game to touch-based devices.” The game is being developed by 343 Industries in conjunction with Vanguard Games.

**ORIGINAL STORY**
Fusible report that Microsoft has registered some ‘Halo: Spartan Assault’ domains.
SpartanAssault.net, HaloSpartanAssault.com and Halo-SpartanAssault.com, and other were reportedly registered in late May.
Eurogamer question if it is not perhaps the Steven Spielberg-produced live action TV show which was announced at the Xbox One reveal event?
Or is it a spin-off game? We will know soon enough… onto E3.
