Some Yakuza 5 details have been revealed via Siliconera. The game will remain a PlayStation 3 exclusive and will not continue the spin-off’s [Yakuza: Dead Souls] storyline with zombies ruling Japan. Instead, it will pick up after Yakuza 4 and feature Kazuma Kiryu as the main character.
Five locations – each described as “large” – have been revealed: Tokyo, Fukuoka, Osaka, Sapporo, and Nagoya.
The magazine mentioned the team improved their tech and it will show in Yakuza 5 which will have a seamless transition between the game’s adventure mode and battles. Team Yakuza also reduced loading times, tweaked the camera system, and improved the level of detail for character faces.
