Two bits of news for Xbox Live Arcade fans.
Sonic titles half-price
From tomorrow and for tomorrow only, and in celebration of the the hedgehog’s 19th birthday, all Sonic the Hedgehog titles on XBLA will see their prices…CUT! SLASHED! DISCOUNTED! HALVED!
That means Sonic The Hedgehog, Sonic The Hedgehog 2, Sonic The Hedgehog 3 and Sonic & Knuckles will see their price drop to 400 Microsoft Points.
DeathSpank gets a release date
DeathSpank will be hitting XBLA on July the 13th for the, not unreasonable, cost of 800 Microsoft Points.
You play as DeathSpank, known as the ‘Dispenser of Justice’, ‘Vanquisher of Evil’ and ‘Hero to the Downtrodden’ and team up with his sidekick Sparkles The Wizard to embark on a journey to find The Artifact. It will feature local co-op gameplay, but no online (erm, why?) as the duo “defeat a local tyrant, help an aging adventurer, and dive headlong into an even deeper mystery in an epic action-RPG that includes collecting loot, solving crazy puzzles, witty dialogue, collecting loot, a ton of weapons, fun and accessible action, and of course, collecting loot.” It is from Monkey Island co-creator Ron Gilbert, so one could expect lots of tongue-in-cheek humour.
