Ubisoft has penned a deal with Hasbro to develop and publish a number of console games based on Hasbro’s popular board games.
Monopoly, Scrabble, Risk, Battleship, Cranium, and Trivial Pursuit were all confirmed in the Ubisoft deal. Scrabble will however only see release in the US and Canada.
“Ubisoft’s leadership and expertise in the console gaming space will help support Hasbro’s strategy of bringing consumers engaging play experiences with our brands across multiple platforms,” Hasbro senior VP and GM for digital gaming Mark Blecher stated.
MCV report that the new deal marks an end to Hasbro’s long-term deal with EA, although EA still own the rights to Hasbro based mobile games.
