It’s not common for game releases to be brought forward, at all, but for whatever reason Shinji Mikami’s The Evil Within has been brought forward by one week.
MCV confirmed with Bethesda that the initial release date of October 24th has been brought forward to October 17th.
We are quite keen on this survival-horror, as Mikami is a grandfather of horror. If I’m not mistaken, I believe he has actually been called that. The Evil Within’s “selling point” was that the developers truly hope to bring back proper horror with this one.
Mikami is best known for the Resident Evil series, but most recently worked on Shadows of the Damned, which offered some interesting aspects.
The Evil Within does look very promising…
