In Short Arkham City is a more complete Batman experience, with abundantly more on offer than with Arkham Asylum. The game’s world is way larger than the previous game and Batman has a host of new side-missions scattered around the city. New gadgets have been introduced as well as enhanced new gameplay. The package is again executed with such charm…
The Battlefield 3 reviews are breaking and so far it looks like we are in for a treat, as was expected. The PC version of Battlefield 3 is sitting on 93/100 on Metacritic thus far while the console versions’ reviews have yet to break. Here’s what the reviewers are saying about the PC version.
Overview
So, we were faced with a frightening choice a few weeks ago around Zombieland. Who wanted to play and review Dark Souls? Being the timid and easily frightened souls that we are, no-one stepped forward. I – being so inclined – accidentally tripped over a severed hand and the matter was settled. I really wish I would be more careful.
So, the biggest girl’s blouse ever gets to review the scariest game ever made and all without the reference of Demon’s Souls. This is going to hurt.
However, we realised that allowing a complete n00b to venture in unprotected would be bordering on homicide so we asked around for some vets to assist in the review. They were so honoured to be approached that they wrote more than we could edit. So we thought we’d give them their fifteen minutes.
Thanks Poorie (The Vet) and bypr0duct (Th Masochist)… at least you proved even the n00b [Err, no you’re actually a wimp – Undead Ed] wasn’t completely wrong.

The official World Rally Championship game offers solid driving-mechanics and all the lovely official cars and tracks. Die-hard ‘petrol-heads’ should find joy in this title if you can put the bland visuals and some flaws aside, and it remains the only simulator rally title. There is more on offer than the first title but not the biggest step forward.
In short: A game more than a little like Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2… but without the ability to play as any of the really cool Marvel superheroes.
By guest: Brett Cocking

We asked one of South Africa’s biggest soccer games’ fans – Brett Cocking [aka PW7H3AD ZA] to review the latest offering from Konami – PES 2012. Brett has played every soccer game since he could sit up with a controller in his hand, so here’s a Mega review from a mega critic.
In short: Reviewing games isn’t actually as easy as it looks. Sure, we all have opinions when we play a game, but when a few (hundred/thousand/million) might read what you have to say, you start to worry whether you may offend or upset the Developer, Publisher or Distributor. You never know when you might need a favour after all. So it’s tough enough. However, when the distributor decides to invite you to a launch where an MMA Champion is present, you start to feel a little intimidated… So let me just say this: the game is awesome. And now I’m off on my unscheduled vacation.
So, the Forza 4 demo is out. Some may have shrugged indifferently to the news. You may reckon they’re a fan and will simply buy it on release – no need for a demo to tell you it will be great. Others may be a little more hesitant. You may have loved Forza 3 but are wondering if the game is simply a re-skinned update. You may have been a little concerned by the sheer mention of Kinect capabilities for the game – yes, there were some.
So we thought we’d ask (an old guy) who had all the concerns mentioned above to try out the demo and let us know what he thought. And he appears to have actually liked it.
The first review has landed for Batman: Arkham City and it has done so in spectacular fashion. Official PlayStation Magazine Australia has given it 10/10 and called it “not only the best superhero game ever made, it’s one of the best games ever made full-stop.”

Sony have brought back some of the most memorable Playstation 2 titles in a swish HD remake package. Few titles tell a tale like SCE Japan’s Team, Bluepoint Games who developed ICO and Shadow of the Colossus. These two titles paved the way for modern titles and avid gamers will recognise the influence these titles had on platform, adventure or puzzle games. From the artistic story-telling to the unique atmospheric games’ world, both ICO and Shadow of the Colossus clearly had a strong influence on game-makers that would follow. This new collection brings back these epic classics on a single disc in Sony’s latest remake collection.
