Supremacy MMA | Soundtrack announced

Those that know me probably know the quickest way to get my attention is to mention ‘metal’ and ‘games’ in the same sentence.  Well, alright, there are some other words that get my attention, but that will do for now.

So when a press release arrived stating “Hardcore punk and metal bands to soundtrack fighting game”, I followed the link post haste.

Global videogame publisher 505 Games announced today  its partnership with Victory Records—the Chicago-based music label known for its roster of hardcore punk and metal bands—and has revealed that five of Victory’s artists will be featured on the soundtrack for 505 Games’ upcoming no-holds barred fighting game, Supremacy MMA.
Victory Records acts and songs set to appear in Supremacy MMA are:

  • Destrophy – “Reconnect” (See a live performance here)
  • Taproot  – “Stolage”
  • Bury Your Dead – “Broken Body”
  • Emmure – “10 Signs You Should Leave”
  • Within the Ruins – “Invade”, “Versus”, “The Carouser”, “Ataxia”, “Roads”

“We’re all huge gamers and serious MMA fans, so having our music on the Supremacy MMA soundtrack is f*cking awesome,” said Emmure lead singer Frankie Palmeri, whose latest album, Speaker of the Dead, is available in stores now (check out the brand new video for “Solar Flare Homicide” here). “I can’t wait to get my hands on the game myself.”

“Working with Victory Records to bring such talented and current bands to Supremacy MMA is an awesome opportunity,” said Ricci Rukavina, Creative Director of Kung Fu Factory. “We love the label, and their music brings a new level of intensity to the game’s atmosphere and visceral combat.”
