Steam has officially entered the “television” gaming world as ‘Big Picture’ launches today throughout the globe.
Big Picture mode gives users access to Valve’s portal through their television, utilizing a gamepad as a controller while also fully supporting keyboard and mouse input.
Eurogamer report that the new mode introduces the “Daisywheel” for more intuitive typing with a controller. A web browser has also been added which can be accessed while playing a game.
Big Picture mode is currently available in over twenty languages.
