Pokémon leagues around the country have been battling it out in recent weeks to secure their place in South Africa’s first ever National Championship which is to be held at rAge this year.

The Championship will be played live at Nintendo South Africa’s stand see 50 players competing for the National Championship crown in the Senior Masters and Junior Division categories.

Nintendo South Africa will also be hosting a series of ‘Learn to Play!Pokémon’ workshops at rAge for newcomers, where two Pokémon Professors will be on hand to give you tips.

You can register for the workshop by sending an email to pokemon@core.co.za by Friday, 28th September. You will receive a free starter deck for doing so.

18th September 2012 – Pokémon TCG players from 10 of the 11 official Play!Pokémon leagues around the country, have in recent weeks been battling it out to secure their place in South Africa’s first ever National Championship, to be held at rAge this year.

Played live on our stand, the invitational tournament will see 50 players vying for the National Championship crown in the Senior, Masters and Junior Division categories.

If you’re new to Pokémon and want to learn how to play the game, you can! We will be hosting a series of ‘Learn to Play!Pokémon’ workshops over the course of the weekend, where two Pokémon Professors will be on hand to guide you through the game in a few simple steps – it’s that easy!
