You can tell it’s reaching the end point of the year. Tournaments and events are all taking a well earned break, but there’s still a few things happening (and that have happened) around SA.
Here’s a few things you may have missed over the last week (and a bit):
Giveaways
Apex Interactive is running a giveaway which has a Turtle Beach Elite 800 PS4 Gaming headset up for grabs for one of their Facebook fans. The winner will be announced in January, and you can enter by following their instructions here.
Megarom Games has an Assassins Creed Phantom Blade up for grabs. You don’t have long to get your entry in, and the winner will be announced on 18 December at 12:00.
GIGABIT LAN
If you’re hankering for a PC LAN event early next year, then the Gigabit LAN at UCT on 24 to 25 January may be just for you. Entry starts at R40 for ‘console lounge access’ and goes up to R140 (GIGABIT LAN seat) and R170 for full LAN access and all the funds raised at the LAN will go towards the Red Cross Children’s Trust. Spectators are free.
The LAN kicks off at 11am on 24 January and ends at 5pm the next day. The LAN will be at the Sports Science Hall on UCT’s Upper Campus. More details can be found on the Event Page.
