Upcoming Events
There’s a few things on this weekend (and even before) that you may be interested in:
- Thursday evening (18 June from 6:30pm), Jukes Club and Esports Lounge hosts a Hearthstone Fireside Gathering.
- Games On Gaming Lounge in Rondebosch, Cape Town is hosting Friday Night Fights – a fighting tournament – on Friday from 6:30pm. R50 is the entry fee with goodies up for grabs, and both Mortal Kombat X and Injustice Gods Among Us on offer. Details here.
- The second Hearthstone related event of the week sees eAe Gaming and Tuks Mindsport host an online tournament on Saturday from 5pm. Details are available here.
A couple of events that are a little further in the future, but worth marking in your diary is LanX and Geekfest. Both are on the same weekend (4 July), but both offer something a little different.

MWEB GameZone Masters Series
In amidst a host of publicly announced roster changes in both the Call of Duty and Counter-Strike communities, there is still the matter of the first qualifiers to attend. The roster changes (including the resignation of Ventus Phenom – captain of the Ventus Xero team – and the acquisition of Frost to the Ventus Xero team) is unlikely to be evident in the current qualifiers under the tournament’s rules.
This weekend, does see the conclusion of the Advanced Warfare tournament on Xbox One with the last matches being streamed live on the MWEB GameZone Twitch Channel.
