EA chief financial officer Blake Jorgensen, predicts we shouldn’t see price drop for the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 this year before the holiday season.
GameSpot report that Jorgensen told the Morgan Stanley Technology, Media, & Technology conference that Microsoft and Sony will most likely drop prices in an effort to “expand the marketplace for old-generation software,” but it’s likely not happen anytime soon.
“I’m guessing it’s probably late in the year or maybe even after next Christmas,” he claimed.
“I don’t know; they’ve not told us what their plans are but it’s probably not any time real soon.”
This contradicts the previous speculation, as it was widely rumored that a price drop for the Microsoft and Sony [previous-gen?] consoles could be coming soon.
