Answering a fan’s question on the Crysis 3 Facebook page, Crytek producer Mike Read confirmed that the protagonist, Prophet, will speak again in the upcoming sci-fi shooter.

Prophet spoke in the original Crysis, but remained silent throughout Crysis 2.

“So as in Crysis 1, Prophet will be speaking.

“Not only that, but there will be a lot more dialog in there than anything we have done previously in the series,” confirmed Read.

Read went on to explain that with the original Crysis the story was “very broken up,” and so there was not a lot of time spent on connecting with you as a player, whereas with Crysis 2 the focus was on the tech side of the Crysis universe.

“In Crysis 3, we’ll be expanding the story elements and character development a lot more than we had done in the previous games. I think that fans of the fiction will be pleased with this overall and find some of those deep questions being answered,” concludes Read.
