Garena Marks One Year of Africa’s Own Free Fire SSA Servers
November marks the one-year anniversary of Singapore-based global online game developer Garena launching dedicated servers for Africa’s Free Fire SSA community.
As the world’s most popular mobile-based ‘Battle Royale’ game, Garena is celebrating the Free Fire server anniversary in fitting style by announcing a further partnership with the South African gaming and digital entertainment brand Ekasi Esports.
The two are partnering on a weekly Free Fire series to cement the popularity of the game which always sees available tournament slots filled by local gamers in less than a day.
Running until 14 November 2021, the Free Fire SSA Anniversary Celebration will see the Free Fire SSA community battle it out amongst themselves to win Free Fire Diamonds.
Since the launch of the servers African Free Fire community servers, there have been numerous Free Fire tournaments held for SSA players who continue to experience a much-improved gaming experience with reduced latencies and better responsiveness.
Garena, for example, partnered with Ekasi Esports earlier this year on the Ekasi Esports Free Fire Series, sponsored by Vodacom World, which saw Free Fire players competing in a tournament offering a substantial R15 000 prize pool.
