The Solidarity e-Race was created to support the relief efforts provided by the Solidarity Fund to small and medium-sized business enterprises. The races that took place during the harder lockdown scenarios the country was in during 2020 were very successful and married for the first time the world of Sim Racing and Real racing on a national scale seeing events created with big prizes and prize funds being awarded for the first time in South Africa. New sponsors joined the Solidarity E-Race team and added huge value to the concept of big event styled races as opposed to the normal week in week out racing that was happening in the very successful leagues already functioning in South Africa. Pure Storage being one of these sponsors has now remained in place to partner up with the SER team and one of these successful leagues in RaceFace.Pro to bring South African Sim racers their first 24 Hour E Race. The passion for speed with the passion for South Africa started at the beginning of hard lock down in 2020 and has not faltered yet in its ability to bring world class action and excitement not only to the Sim racers who have entered but also to the thousands of fans who have joined in watching the events Live Streamed via Facebook and Youtube, so far.

“Having been on the mic from day one and seeing the success and enjoyment the racers and fans have had so far, not to mention myself and fellow commentators, some of which have been found during our previous events and are on the brink of stardom in the world of motorsport in general. I am super excited to see how this 24-hour race goes, having raced in a few myself and been involved in a few more as a commentator and MC and therefore having experienced first-hand the complexities and skills required to get through a full 24 hours of racing. I am also looking forward to working with some of the world’s best Sim racing commentary teams who will be online with the RaceFace.Pro team to bring you up close and in-depth insight into the world of Sim Racing,” Greg Moloney, Commentator, Voice of Choice.

The Super Pole Sunday takes place on Sunday 2 May with teams setting lap times to get their cars set up and ready for the following week ends test of skill, concentration and endurance. The lights will go out on the 8 May 2021 at 12h00 and the flag drops on Sunday 9 May at the same time with a full online prize giving ceremony taking directly after the race ends. The Solidarity e-Race team has partnered up with Bertus Hugo and his RaceFace.Pro team for this event and are just as excited about the concept and the fact that the relationships they worked so hard to cement with the established leagues and E Racing communities, is now having the desired results, culminating in an event of this stature.

Fans and spectators can catch the action as it will be live streamed on YouTube and Facebook with the commentary from Greg Moloney The Voice of Choice and the RaceFace.Pro International commentary team, as well as guest appearances from some surprise celebrities and SER young gun on the microphone, 11year old Clark King.
