Nintendo has only to move 390,000 Wii U units in past three months, reports GamesIndustry.
Nintendo blame weak sales of b0th the Wii U and surprisingly, the 3DS consoles for the performance this year. As a result Nintendo has missed profit forecasts by 50%.
The results are however still however up on the previous year as profits were at least recorded. The previous year saw Nintendo record massive losses.
Looking ahead, Nintendo estimates it will sell 9 million Wii U units along with 18 million 3DS consoles in 2014.
