**ORIGINAL STORY**

The MSSA Western Cape Provincial Championships returns after a sabbatical (don’t ask how long, ‘cos we don’t remember these sort of things) and a false start for the weekend of 3 and 4 August.

On 24 and 25 August, the Western Cape Provincial Championships will be held at the Cape Peninsula University of Technology (CPUT) campus in Bellville. You can play for colours and medals and, well, pride in titles such as Black Ops 2, FIFA 13 and many more on all three major platforms.

The event is a bring your own tournament (except for FIFA, Tekken and Gran Turismo), and the cost is R50 per Registered Player per game except StarCraft II, which is free.

Registrations for the event will close 20 August. The full unabridged press release from the MSSA, as well as the schedule is below.

MWEB, as part of their continued support for gaming in South Africa, are the headline sponsor for all of the MSSA’s Provincial LAN Championships. In consideration for this sponsorship, the event has officially being named the MWEB Western Cape Provincial Championships.

Registrations shall close on  20 August 2013….

Players who wish to compete in any of MSSA’s Championships are advised to complete their annual registration forms so that they may registered as Registered Players as soon as possible. Late entries will be accepted only if there is space available.

All gamers are reminded that the Championship is an open championship. In other words any Registered Player is entitled to enter the championship – no matter where they live, or their category of membership. If you have any queries, please contact the MSSA.

Please find attached a Player Registration Form and a Entry Form. The Player Registration Form must be completed by all gamers who have not yet registered and returned to the MSSA.

The championships will also be used as part of the selection process for the 2013 IeSF World Championships.
