Breakfast Wrap 04You have woken up to whatever Sony has announced and are probably expecting all the news titbits to be right here.  They’re not.  We have a whole other article for it.  This is the news no-one else will worry about while they analyse the PlayStation Meeting to death.

According to Siliconera, the Assassin’s Creed 3: Washington Edition and Ghost Recon Anthology are both reportedly set for release this spring.  The former is expected to include AC3 and the three-part Assassin’s Creed 3 DLC – The Tyranny of King Washington, while the latter will bundle together a collection of HD Ghost Recon titles – 2006’s Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter, 2007’s Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2 and 2012’s Ghost Recon: Future Soldier.

Bethesda has confirmed that both Hearthfire and Dawnguard DLC packs will arrive for PS3 Skyrim players before the month ends.  Hearthfire is now available for $2.49 (currently reduced) in North America, and Dawnguard is expected on 26 February.

A new trailer for Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen has been released.  Coming to the PS3 and Xbox 360, the add-on will include all of the original game’s content plus a “massive” new realm, fresh skills, enemies and equipment, plus improved travel and menus.  The game will be released in both boxed and digital format and will arrive in the US on 23 April and in Europe on 26 April.

A new DmC trailer has also hit the internet.  The video shows off  the Vergil’s Downfall downloadable chapter, which will let buyers play as Dante’s twin brother and is now only due in March – yes it has been delayed.  It will arrive on 5 March and will cost 720MS Points / £7.29 / €8.99 / $8.99.  The arena-based challenge mode – Bloody Palace – is now out and will take players through “a survival gauntlet of more than 100 levels of demon-crushing, boss-rushing action”.

If you want more goblin with your Guardians of Middle-earth, get ready for Snaga – “a powerfully motivated Goblin” who is “hungry for flesh and stubborn enough to browbeat anyone or anything to get exactly what he wants.”  A real lady’s man then… This charming fellow is available to download now on XBLA and PSN.

HMV is set to close another 37 stores in the UK, resulting in a further 464 job losses.  The closures are likely to happen over the “next four to six weeks and will mean that nearly half of HMV’s 223 UK outlets will be shut.” [via CVG]

Let’s end with the blackest of news… Black Ops 2.  A pretty hefty title update for the game has been released on Xbox 360 and PS3.  The updates introduce improvements, balance gameplay elements, as well as addressing both multiplayer and Zombies issues.  Check out the full patch release notes on CVG.
