Hardware

Sony will allow users up to three portable devices (which includes PSP, PS Vita and PlayStation Vita TV) to access their PSN accounts, in addition to their PS3 and PS4. Details of how to do so are available here.

And so it seems that in less than one week of release, the Xbox One has been hacked. Or at least on the verge of being fully hacked. We’re not completely clear on understanding terms, but the size of the Xbox One NAND has been revealed and dumped. If you are interested (and not for nefarious reasons), you can find out more here.

iBuyPower has revealed its Steam Machine, which will cost $499, and comes with an AMD Radeon R9 270 GPU, a 500GB hard drive, a multicore AMD CPU, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth support and a Steam Controller. [More on The Verge]

Games

A patch for both the PS3 and PS4 versions of Call of Duty Ghosts has been released. The usual stability issue fix has been added, along with spawn issues being addressed. The full list of fixes can be found here.

Audio files found in the ‘Beach Bum’ DLC for GTA Online suggest that Rockstar Games may be planning to add casinos, street racing and drug dealing activities in the future. [More on CVG]

Get 50% off selected in-game items in GTA Online from today (28 November) until 1 December. The Assault Rifle, Carbine Rifle, Advanced Rifle, Heavy Sniper, Sniper Rifle, rifle attachments and ammo will be half normal price, and to tie in with Black Friday, “select black clothing” and black vehicle modding will also be discounted.

Turn 10 is offering temporary discounts on cars and increasing credit payout in Forza 5 from Friday (29 November) until 1 December. They will then be “dramatically increasing” credit payouts in-game during the month of December. A 2013 Lotus E21 grand prix car will be gifted to Forza 5 VIP members, while those that already own it will receive a 1962 Ferrari 250 GTO. This all follows on fan feedback.

Assassin’s Creed Liberation HD will be available for Xbox 360 (via XBL) on 15 January 2014. The game has already been date for release on the US PSN on 14 January.

The Korean classification board may have revealed that Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare is just a timed exclusive on the Xbox, as they list the title as coming to the PS4. [More on CVG]

D4: Dark Dreams Don’t Die will stay an Xbox One exclusive according to the game’s creator Hidetaka ‘SWERY’ Suehiro. He also wants to be clear that D4 is not a sequel to Deadly Premonition. [More on CVG]

Remedy Games is “constantly” exploring Alan Wake possibilities and creative director Sam Lake “would definitely love to do more Wake”. [More on Polygon]

December’s two Games With Gold titles have been revealed, and from 1 December eligible gamers can get the classic (it really is) Gears of War. In Japan and Germany, Halo Wars will be the free game. On 16 December, the game available to download is Shoot Many Robots.

Industry

EA looks has dropped the price of the PS4 digital versions of their games again. Originally priced at £63 earlier this week, they were dropped to £60, and they have now been dropped to £55 – the same as the price of the Xbox One digital versions. Anyone who has paid the higher price will be refunded. [More on Eurogamer]

Microsoft is going through a “learning” process on how to handle microtransactions in their games. Future use of these will be based on user feedback from current games. [More on Kotaku]

Microsoft has apologised for a “sexist” Xbox One promo. Offence was taken to a line in a letter designed to sell the Xbox One (in a humorous manner) to their significant other: “Not sure if you’ve heard, but Xbox One is now available. That means we can start playing games like Dead Rising 3. I know, I know. You’d rather knit than watch me slay zombies, but hear me out on this. Xbox One is actually for both of us. UK mobile phone service provider O2 will be offering a PS4 Killzone bundle with their ‘Refresh’ tariff, which also includes a Sony Xperia Z1, unlimited texts and minutes, 1GB of data and 12-months of PS Plus. The bundle will cost £89.99 upfront and then £52 per month. 65 UK stores will be offering the deal on the launch day of the PS4 in Europe, 29 November. [More on Eurogamer]

The World of Warcraft movie has been delayed for release to 11 March 2016 – most likely to avoid the new Star Wars which comes out on the originally announced release date of 18 December 2015.
