GameStop has sold out on its store allocated Day One Edition Xbox One. They are however, still taking online pre-orders for the console. However, the in-store allocations of the PS4 will reportedly dwarfed the number of allocated Xbox Ones. [via Polygon]

GameStop has also – unsurprisingly – applauded Microsoft’s decision to drop their DRM plans on the Xbox One. “This is great news for gamers and we applaud Microsoft for understanding consumers and the importance of the pre-owned market,” they said.

Industry analyst Michael Pachter reckons Microsoft is is prepared to cut the price of the Xbox One in 2014 if sales don’t keep pace with Sony’s cheaper PS4. However, he does appear to think that the two consoles will sell equal quantities following Microsoft’s about turn. [via CVG]

Nvidia has already decided to cut the launch price of Shield to $299 – $50 less than the previously announced price. The handheld is being released on 27 June – in the US at least we’d guess. [via Nvidia Blog]

Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag will be getting a Season Pass according to Best Buy. According to the retailer you will save $20, as the Season Pass “includes all of the DLC packs for just $19.99. That’s a $20 savings off the regular price.” “Eye-Opening Content” is also promised and includes “extra single-player missions, multiplayer content, and new ways to personalize your pirate experience.” [via AllGamesBeta]

Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag will be out on PC “a few weeks after” the current-gen console versions hit the stores. [via CVG]
