Halo: The Master Chief Collection is suffering with matchmaking issues, with Microsoft and an external partner “to correct this issue right away”. “Some improvement” has been made and they are “working around the clock” to fix the issues.
The multiplayer beta for Halo 5: Guardians will render at 720p and run at 60 frames per second, but the resolution for the final release is expected to be higher. [More…]
The first patch for Call of Duty Advanced Warfare has been released on PC. The Xbox One and PS4 version of the patch will follow this week. Patch notes are available here.

The ‘Dark World’ expansion for TowerFall Ascension arrives in early 2015 and will bring new “archers, levels, modes, power-ups, variants, trials, and more”.
Consoles & Hardware
A mandatory PS4 update (version 2.02) has been released and improves system software stability during the use of some features, games and apps.
The Halo Channel app is now available for Xbox One and the Windows 8 Store. It will feature episodes of Halo: Nightfall, as well as letting players play Halo: The Master Chief Collection through it. Twitch has been fully integrated so get your streams on.
Sales & Discounts
The weekly Deals with Gold have been announced and you’re unlikely to feel any affinity to buy them… On Xbox One, the highlight is EA Sports UFC at 50% off. The other titles include Dive Kick, Kick Beat, Stick it to the Man and Castlestorm. On Xbox 360, the highlight game is Fallout 3, after that you can get Serious Sam, Catherine and some others.
