This week there’s comic book action, fracking drama and middle aged mayhem to look forward to at your local cinema.
Iron Man 3
Fans of the comic book (as well as those of the dashing Mr Downey Jr) will have been waiting for this one for a while. Iron Man is back and this time he’s facing off against a villain intent on blowing things up. Why are you still reading? Go buy your ticket!
Promised Land
Matt Damon steps into the role of a man trying to convince rural landowners to allow his natural gas company to set up fracking works across the countryside in exchange for often much-needed money. It’s far more watchable than some of the doccies out there, but just as set on convincing you that fracking isn’t a good idea.
This is 40
This is billed as a sort-of sequel to Knocked up. It looks at what happens when you’ve got the house and the kids, and then hit a rough patch. Emotions run high, and voices are raised, along with other erm, members.
Zombie Terri’s Pick
My money’s on Mr Stark this week. I mean, really, have you SEEN him? And Gwyneth just gets better and better as Pepper. I also like that this film lets you see a lot more of Tony than the man in the iron suit. Ben Kingsley is also pretty damn great.
