Just when you thought the drama regarding Duke Nukem Forever, Apogee, and Take Two couldn’t get any worse, today we find out that Duke Nukem Forever is in fact, still in development.
The ongoing legal action between Take Two and Apogee recently revealed that 3D Realms, despite having to lay off a large proportion of their staff, is still currently developing Duke Nukem Forever.
“Apogee admits that it has continually worked on the development of the DNF for many years, and continues to do so.”
The proceedings also mentioned a new Duke title, Duke Begins being created by an established third part developer for Take Two, although development was believed to have been ceased as recently as April 2009.
Anyone agree this is getting old fast?
