For the period between April and September 2010, Capcom’s earnings in operating income was 3,942 million yen ($48), a 23% drop compared to last year. The “substantial underperformance” of Lost Planet 2, as well as the appreciation of the yen was cited as reasons for the operating profit plunge.
Dead Rising 2 had the publisher so pleased however, they sent out a press release announcing their zombie slaughtering game had sold over two million units worldwide since its September 24th European debut.
Last fiscal year, Capcom forecast that three million units of Dead Rising 2 would be sold before April 2011.
