Beyond Two Souls has been confirmed for release in October this year by Sony.
The US arm of Sony appears to have a more exact date at the moment, and have confirmed the Quantic Dream’s PS3 exclusive game will hit US retail on 8 October.
In the US, everyone who pre-orders the game at GameStop (or EB games in Canada) will receive exclusive DLC in the form of a 30-minute playable scene. And while supplies last, everyone who pre-orders will also receive a free upgrade to the special edition of the game, which includes:
- Exclusive Steelbook Premium Packaging
- Extensive Behind The Scenes Video Features
- Soundtrack
- PS3 Dynamic Theme
- PSN Avatar Bundle
Sony has also confirmed that Willem Dafoe (Platoon, Boondock Saints, Spider-Man) has joined as the co-star in a supporting role alongside lead actress Ellen Page (Juno, Inception).
He plays scientist Nathan Dawkins, “an enigmatic character working for a government division studying paranormal activities. Dawkins’ professional curiosity in supernatural lead Jodie Holmes, driven by personal tragedy, is a central theme in the game”, says Cage.
Dafoe’s character starts off as something of a surrogate father for Holmes, before eventually using her abilities to push his own agenda.
