You will forgive us for not reporting much on the ‘Battlefield Appreciation Month’. We haven’t been THAT appreciative about the multiplayer issues that are still plaguing Battlefield 4.
I still feel a bit sheepish about my review of the Xbox 360 version of the game where I said something to the effect of, “the game is experiencing some teething issues, but I know DICE, and they always sort things out pronto.”
Admittedly, DICE did say they would suspend developing DLC and the issues were fixed, which is benevolent of them. We believe however, that the Playstation 4 version of the game is pretty stable, and have heard from a few (very few) local Xbox One users, that they too are not experiencing issues.
DICE is also now handing out more gifts which should be useful to some – free weapon ‘shortcut kits’ – so kudos!
The aim of these kits is to help players “to make up for lost time, or just catch up if you’re new to the game.” So for someone like me, who put the game down, this will make the slogging away at unlocks, a little less of a burden.
Additionally, those with Premium membership will gain access to an additional pack:
February 18 to February 24
Shortcut Kit: Hand Guns
Battlefield 4 Premium Shortcut Kit: DMR’s
February 25 to March 4
Shortcut Kit: Grenades
Battlefield 4 Premium Shortcut Kit: Shotguns
See the Battlefield 4 website for instructions on how to access the packs.
