The pre-order incentives and other retailer specific content for the South African release of Assassin’s Creed 3 has been revealed by Megarom, BT Games, Kalahari.com and Takealot. To be fair, there isn’t too much variation in the offerings, so it will probably come down to whether you want an axe or a flintlock pistol.

The Special Edition is currently selling for a very reasonable R499 at two of the retailers.

All the retailers are offering “special packaging” along with ‘A Dangerous Secret’ which is an “exclusive single player mission” and a flintlock musket.

BT Games also has the ‘Red Coat’ Multiplayer Pack and the ‘Colonial Assassin’ Singleplayer Pack which features the flintlock pistol and the “traditional Colonial Assassin” outfit.

Kalahari.com and Takealot brings the same ‘Red Coat’ Pack as BT Games but offer players the ‘boarding axe’ and the ‘Captain of the Aquila’ uniform.
