Reuters report [as cited by CVG] that Apple has become the world’s most valuable company of all time, with a market value of a staggering $623.14 billion.
The iPhone, iPad maker has reportedly surpassed Microsoft’s previous record of $620.58 billion, which was set in 1999. CVG note that the figure does not take the inflation factor into account.
Speculation has it that Apple will release both a new iPhone and iPad this year, and rumours have pegged a September release date for the iPhone 5 and a pre-Christmas release date for the iPad Mini.
