Our sister organisation, ACGL, has announced season one of their regular online tournaments which incorporates a number of console competitive standards along with a number of lesser supported titles locally.

All tournaments are free to enter and will be one night cups that start at 19h00. The first tournaments will be hosted on 15 March and there will be (almost daily) tournaments until the season closes on 30 April. Placing in the various tournaments will earn XP towards your standing in the leaderboards.

The titles that will feature are as follows:

  • Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare (PlayStation 4)
  • FIFA 17 (Xbox One, PS4)
  • Halo 5: Guardians (Xbox One)
  • Overwatch (PC, PS4)
  • For Honor (PC)

The first batch of tournaments are planned for:

  • 15th March: Overwatch 3v3
  • 16th March: COD Infinite Warfare 2v2
  • 18th March: FIFA 17 1v1
  • 19th March: COD Infinite Warfare 4v4, For Honor 1v1, Overwatch 6v6
  • 21st March: FIFA 17 1v1
  • 22nd March: Halo 5 2v2, Overwatch 1v1
  • 23rd March: COD Infinite Warfare 2v2
  • 25th March: FIFA 17 1v1
  • 26th March: COD Infinite Warfare 4v4, For Honor 2v2, Overwatch 3v3, Halo 5 4v4
  • 28th March: FIFA 17 1v1
  • 30th March: COD Infinite Warfare 2v2

13 March 2017 – We at African Cyber Gaming League (ACGL) are here for the long run and that is why we are doubling down in our effort to provide a home for gamers to play, rank up and actively participate in tournaments.

Today we are launching our new seasonal program which will give the local gaming community the opportunity to compete regularly. ACGL will be hosting weekly tournaments that are completely free to enter. The tournaments will be a combination of casual and competitive play which will utilise our XP system to track individuals rankings across the ACGL leaderboards.

The first season will kick off on the 15th of March and will end on the 30th of April. For the first season we will be hosting tournaments for the following games:

Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare (PlayStation 4)
FIFA 17 (Xbox One, PS4)
Halo 5: Guardians (Xbox One)
Overwatch (PC, PS4)
For Honor (PC)

All tournaments will be played as one night cups and made live for registration a week before the start date. The start time will be 19:00 for all tournaments.
