Two events down, and growing every time, our next T-Fest event will be on 25 October at Trenchtown in Observatory, Cape Town. For this event we will be celebrating Sci-Fi and Horror (well, it is Halloween month), so expect a little bit of futuristic pew-pew and scares.

Once again, we would like to emphasize that unlike our purely eSports driven events, T-Fest is meant to celebrate gaming, socialising, markets, cosplay and more, so without your support it certainly won’t be a success, so we invite you all to attend.

We will again be trying to improve on the previous events and entry to the event is completely free. Gaming and vendors are the biggest focus and we will again be featuring a screening area that will feature movies related to the theme. Dodgeball will be on the agenda again for those brave enough to attempt it and if you want to dress up in keeping with the theme, we will also offer a prize for the ‘best-dressed’ Sci-Fi/Horror/Freak…

As things update, we will let you know. We also suggest keeping your eye on our Event Page on Facebook where we may make a few reveals too.

Logo with Text_AWhile cosplayers will be welcome in any form, this month we really want to get to celebrate the theme, so the competition will be the best-dressed, most authentic looking Sci-Fi or Horror character.

We will judge the winner at around 5pm, and up for grabs will be prizes which include vouchers from Krafts By Witch Knight and more.

Other Activities

The card games drew no-one to either our August or September event, but we will set aside some space for them and for board games, should anyone arrive.

Rebel Monkey_01Rebel Monkey will again be hosting the popular colouring-in competition, which runs the entire day. Prizes shall be dished out to the person (or persons) most capable of staying within the lines.

Odd Customs will be hosting an introduction to drawing and you can expect that to kick off at 3pm.

Face painting and nail painting will again be on the agenda, so if you want to look like a horror, then you still have a chance.

We will be featuring movie screenings throughout the day, which we will detail in the coming days. You can possibly expect an Alien film, maybe Prometheus and others to be confirmed.

Dodgeball SA will be running a dodgeball event in the garden of Trenchtown. A fee of R30 per player (if you are one of the gamers) will be charged and pre-registering is essential. Details can be found here.

The Anime Trading Station by The Genshiken Society of UCT should be there too, so bring along a flashdrive. The gaming and anime quiz is also likely to make a return under their name and will be a team-based one this time. Minimum of two players per team required and expect it to start at around 4pm.

On the day, and running until the close of the 29 November T-Fest event, we will be hosting a number of raffles. Up for grabs for your ticket will be Zombiegamer T-Shirts, hampers and more. This is the closest we will come to charging for the event, and is completely optional, but supporting the raffles will support the continued operating of these events.

The first hamper that will be raffled off – at R10 per entry – will contain a much sort after Zombiegamer t-shirt (in a size you want), a Zombiegamer mug, a game and a R100 Kalahari voucher. That is goodies valued at around R750 – if not more.

We have also decided to extend our C4 LAN fundraising efforts by continuing the raffle we ran at the Call of Duty event to this T-Fest. R10 per entry gets you in line to win a Zombiegamer t-shirt, Call of Duty artwork by Rebel Monkey, Call of Duty embroidered artwork by Krafts by Witch Knight and a cameo on a chain by Skullaby.

Food and Drink

tt logo_narrowThe venue offers plenty of food and drink options but it should be noted that no food bought outside of the venue may be consumed on the premises.

On the day, you can get a margherita pizza for R30, which is available to T-Fest attendees only.

Please note: the premises does serve alcohol, and no under 18s will be sold alcohol. Anyone caught facilitating under age drinking will be asked to leave.
