Orena launches new website

Orena_03

Our friends (look, we’ve said this before plenty of times: we like other humans) over at Orena have continued the 2016 reboot with the relaunch of the their website – and we’re not really all that shamed to admit, we’re a little bit jealous.

The new site is simple to navigate and looks the business, but also adds a host of new features with the promise of ongoing support for Counter-Strike, Dota 2 and Overwatch. We wouldn’t expect them to stop there, because we know that the Orena crew are a hungry bunch, so we would suggest you keep tabs on their Twitter account and Facebook page. On top of that, we know a little about what they’re up to sometimes, and we can assure you that there is plenty on the horizon still from them.

Currently there are ELO ladders available for CS: GO and Dota 2 with both offering a R5,000 prize for the winner on the completion of the current season which runs until 27 June. And on completion, you get to do it all again.

To celebrate the relaunch of the website, they are giving away “Shadow Dagger Fades valued at approximately R2500!” which is as good a reason as any to get into Counter-Strike right away.

Press Release:

Cape Town, South Africa – Orena is proud to announce the release of our brand new website. A complete overhaul was necessary to keep up the competitive nature of South African eSports, adding new features and a revamped competitive edge. After several months in the development, Orena would like to introduce their newly revamped website which aims to provide optimal play and competition for South Africa’s top respective eSports.

Orena, since its birth, has focused primarily on being the premier battle ground for gamers in South Africa. Hosting tournaments in Counter-Strike, Dota 2, League of Legends, Hearthstone, and more, Orena have prided themselves in offering something new to the eSports world in South Africa. In 2015 Orena hosted over 20 tournaments in respective eSports bringing in viewership which rivals smaller international tournaments. The introduction of the ladder system saw over 90 games of Counter-Strike: Global Offensive being played in a two week period. The new website is here, with a facelift and the necessary tools to take your competitive gaming to the next level.

[Comment from Luca Tucconi] What started as a passion project back in 2013 has now turned into what we feel, is the premier battleground for South African gamers. Simplicity, comfort, and familiarity go a long way when looking for a tournament to take part in, and now it’s all here under one roof. CODEVTECH, a group of close friends & talented gaming digital artists, managed to take the idea put forward all those years ago and finally made it a reality…

Were extremely excited to see how the site evolves over the next couple months as we add new features as well as announce some MAJOR gaming events!
