X-COM has fallen foul of a Take Two re-shuffle which will see it join Borderlands 2 as part of their 2013 fiscal year releases. No reason was given, but considering there’s still Max Payne 3 and The Darkness II due from the publisher in this fiscal year, it just makes financial sense. The 2103 fiscal year starts on 1 April…

You would think Quad-Wielding would be more than enough for our man Jackie Estacado, but he has more magic up his sleeves (or tentacles) in his ability to summon black holes that will suck his enemies into the abyss.
Anyone who pre-orders for The Darkness for PC or console will automatically be upgraded to the ‘Limited Edition’ while stocks last. So says the North American press release, so for now – until confirmed otherwise – we will assume that goes for all major regions too.
The ‘Limited Edition’ will include an “alternative darkling outfit”, two additional character abilities, an illustration by Marc Silvestri and a free digital download of The Darkness Origins Volume 1 and 2 comics. Score!
The game is scheduled to release in North America on 7 February, 2012 and the rest of the world on 10 February, 2012.
