And to celebrate, the Bethesda team partook in the drinking of golden mead. While they posted this on their Blog only yesterday, we certainly hope that the game has been ready for pressing a little while ago – it’s meant to be on the shelves next week.

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim will feature an ensemble cast of Academy Award nominees as is the case these days with big titles. Stars who lent their voice include Christopher Plummer (“The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo”, “The Insider”), Max Von Sydow (“The Exorcist,” “Minority Report”), and Joan Allen (“The Contender,” “The Bourne Ultimatum”).
Skyrim Game Director Todd Howard talks viewers through the three part gameplay demo which was shown behind closed doors at E3 and at QuakeCon and PAX Prime. It is pretty stunning frankly.
The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Collector’s Edition was recently announced. Now over at the Bethesda offices, a pic of the size of the box it ships in has been revealed… and it’s big!
Bethesda has confirmed that Skyrim, which is shaping up to be an enormous game, will all fit on to one Xbox 360 disc. In a time of disc swapping for L.A. Noire and even Mass Effect 2 (on an Xbox 360 at least…), that is an amazing feat and does leave one to wonder will it really be that enormous…
Just imagine… the new ‘Horse Armour Pack’ exclusive on the Xbox 360 30 days before the guys on PS3 get to see it. Not so tempting now… All jesting aside, Bethesda has announced that it plans to release the first two DLC packs for their RPG on the Xbox 360 “30 days before it’s available anywhere else”. [Source]
