You have your shiny copy of Bulletstorm and you’re wondering when you’ll be able to press the Gears of War 3 Beta invite in the Main Menu…aren’t you? Dammit, enjoy Bulletstorm first, as the Gears of War 3 Beta only starts next month. The Beta opens to everyone on 25 April, while Bulletstorm Epic Edition owners can start a week…
Bulletstorm is out now in North American on the PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. Other than the usual self-promotion in the press release regarding initial review scores (9.25 from Game Informer) and the expected mention of the Gears of War 3 Beta (“Gamers will need the Epic Edition disc in order to play the Gears of War 3 beta”), there was also mention of the first DLC for the game.
Entitled the ‘Gun Sonata’ Pack, it will be out “this spring” (Northern Hemisphere) and it will not be free.
…in case you were worried you wouldn’t be getting your Gears of War 3 Beta.
All jokes aside, the over-the-top shooter is on schedule for its release later this month as tweeted by Bulletstorm itself.
The two shooters are going head to head today on Xbox LIVE with the Bulletstorm demo arriving on the PlayStation Network tomorrow. The Bulletstorm demo gives you a taste of the singleplayer while Crysis 2 allows you to feast on the multiplayer. Run along now, and don’t forget to let us know which one gets your vote.
