After the tease and the promise of full reveal this coming Monday, Game Informer (and Microsoft we assume) has decided to reveal the name of the new Gears of War and the uncensored covers for their next issue.

Looking like the rumours of a prequel are spot on, there are two variations of the cover. One depicts Damon Baird shackled and being escorted by two COG soldiers with the Locust in the background. The other cover essentially features Augustus “Cole Train” Cole in the exact situation.

More details – including multiplayer information – are to be announced on Monday.

Incorrect name changed to Gears of War Judgment. Or Judgement. Hopefully Monday they’ll confirm the spelling too.
