Popcap’s latest Plants vs. Zombies from the super-popular series is headed to the Playstation Vita.
The poplular series challenges players to build an arsenal of loyal plants to defend their homeagainst attacking waves of the undead. The PS Vita version will feature unique gameplay elements, and with both touch-screen andgyro support.
The series was developed and originally published by PopCap Games for Microsoft Windows and Mac OS X. and was first released on May 5, 2009. The iOS version followed in February 2010 as well as an HD version for the iPad. The extended Xbox Live Arcade version introduced some new gameplay modes and features in September 2010, followed by Nintendo DS version in January and the PlayStation 3 version in February 2011.
Following the success the series has enjoyed on all platforms, Plants vs. Zombies is set to support the PS Vita handheld console at launch.
Plants vs. Zombies for the PS Vita will include 50 “zombie-zapping” adventure levels, 5 original game modes, 9 trophies to and will let players create their own zombies with the ‘Zombatar’.
