Trenchtown Gaming Tournament | February Details and Pre-registration

TT_Feb 2014_Final_01

The next Trenchtown Gaming Tournament is one for Master Chief fans. Or even those who just enjoy their first-person shooter… with a team mate.

On Saturday 15 February we will be hosting Halo 4 as a two against two tournament, along with FIFA 14 and Injustice: Gods Among Us.

So, without further nonsense, registration is now open for Halo 4 and FIFA 14, with Injustice being an on-the-day-free-to-enter tournament.

If you pre-register and pay via EFT, you will secure your entry at R50 per player (and your place when tournaments are restricted in numbers), while pre-registering via the site and paying on the day will cost you R55 per player. Walk-ins will still be accepted and charged at R60 per player. By pre-registering, you do agree to the terms and conditions.

Bank details for those wishing to pay in advance will be sent on request – please do so via the registration contact form.

On the day you can get a discounted Margherita pizza for R30 – just ask an Admin member on the day when you are ready to eat.

Any players under 18 will be emailed a consent form when we spot your “yes” to the question of whether you are under 18. Bring the signed consent form along, and you will save yourself time, and us a fair amount of heartache.

Please note that we will no longer delay the start of events indefinitely. Should you not arrive on time and have not pre-registered, you can not participate. Should you pre-register and arrive late for your scheduled match (attempts to accommodate will be made) your opponent will be issued with a default win. Should that be in the loser’s bracket, you will be eliminated.

Saturday 15 February

Halo 4 (2v2).

There is no restriction on the number of two-man (or women) teams, but it should be noted that should less than eight (8) teams enter, we reserve the right to alter the prizes or even cancel the event.

The tournament will be a double elimination event with the winner’s bracket being completed first on the day. Where possible, should a bye be required, teams will be seeded based on results at previous events.

Teams and players are requested (where possible) to bring their own copy of Halo 4, and while all other necessary equipment will be supplied, it is suggested that you bring along your own headsets, as the number available is limited. You may also bring along your own controllers.

FIFA 14 and Injustice: Gods Among Us.

There are no limits to the number of players for these events.

FIFA 14 will be a 1v1 double elimination tournament played on both Xbox 360, PS3 and PS4, with the top player on each platform playing in a home and away single elimination grand final to determine the top four placings. One wildcard will be drawn from the platform with the biggest number of entries. The wildcard will be the second placed finisher on that platform.

Injustice: Gods Among Us will be a free-to-enter event on Xbox 360 and will have a hamper up for grabs.
