Here’s something I’m pretty willing to bet you didn’t expect to see when you woke up this morning. The SEGA Mega Drive will be available to buy again in South Africa this month. It will be available for a pretty tempting RRP of R1499.95 and will come with 80 built-in games including the three original Mortal Kombat games, Shinobi III, Streets Of Rage (1-3), Ecco and a whole lot more.
The console (which will be available via selected retail stores including Musica, Game, Makro, ToyZone, ToysRUs, CNA, TopCD and Incredible Connection) will be able to play your original SEGA Mega Drive games and SEGA Genesis games and cartridges from all regions. It will also come with two controllers, so you can dish out some pain to your couch opponent.
The console is being distributed by Apex Interactive.
It is currently available via Raru for pre-order at an even better than RRP price of R1,349.
