Sony needed to confirm their dominance over Microsoft in the new generation of consoles, and the only way to do that was by having a real jam-packed roster of exclusives. And they didn’t really. There’s Uncharted, The Order: 1886 and a few others, but not much that we weren’t all expecting. Some good games still.

But let’s start with the full press conference. If you have two hours (and change)… enjoy.

Destiny will be coming bundled with a 500GB white PS4 – if you buy the bundle of course. An Alpha for the game will be available to PS3 and PS4 PS Plus owners this weekend (From Thursday 12 June). You need to register on the game’s official website. The Beta starts on 17 July. The game will also get exclusive skins, an exclusive multiplayer map “and more content than we can detail”.

Killzone Shadow Fall Intercept has four-player online coop and jetpacks. But we kinda knew that already.

The Order: 1886 is looking OK now. Used to look brilliant. I’ve lost a little enthusiasm for the game sadly. The game has been confirmed for release on 20 February 2015.

Entwined was introduced for PS4 and is out now. The cross-buy title will be available for PS3 and PS Vita sometime.

inFamous: Second Son DLC which doesn’t need the game was announced. ‘First Light’ is coming August 2014.

LittleBigPlanet 3 has been announced for the PS4. The inner child in all of us is secretly (and not-so-secretly) excited.

Project Beast has been revealed as PS4 exclusive Bloodborne from From Software. The game will be out in 2015.

Far Cry 4 will allow players without the game to join their PS4 friend with the game to play the co-op. Now this is a real winner.

Dead Island 2! Yes, as rumoured, there is a sequel coming and Yager is handling the development. The game will be available for PS4, PC and Xbox One in 2015.

The Battlefield Hardline beta is already available on your PS4. Get it while you can.

Disney Infinity 2.0 will feature exclusive characters at launch for the PS3 and PS4 in the form of Hulk and five other Avengers.

Magicka 2 got confirmed for the PS4 (and PC). More importantly, Grim Fandango will be remastered exclusively for the PS4 and PS Vita. Yay for the little girl who threatened piracy to play Tim Schafer’s “great game”.

There’s a number of Devolver Digital games coming to the PS4 including BroForce, Titan Souls and more.

Suda 51 and Grashopper’s next game is a PS4 exclusive and is called Let It Die.

Abzu is set underwater and looks all cute and stuff.

No Man’s Sky will make its console debut on the PS4.

There was a bit of posturing from the execs of Sony about the PS4 and PSN. Some was boring and a snorefest, but YouTube sharing is coming, so are more free-to-play games and PlayStation Now. Yes, North America gets PS Now as an open beta on 31 July for the PS4, with the PS3 and PS Vita getting it “shortly afterwards”. PS Now will also be available on “select Sony televisions”. There will be 100 games available during the beta – both first and third party games. Pricing has been revealed and rentals cost between $3 and $20.

PlayStation TV was also announced for the US at a price of $99 and with a release window of fall. Europe will see the micro-console at the same time too… South Africa not likely we would assume. A $139 bundle will also be released and will include a DualShock 3, 8GB memory card, HDMI cable and voucher for The Lego Movie Video Game.

In the UK it will cost £84.99 and come bundled with a DualShock 3 controller. In Europe it will cost €99, but there is no firm release date, other than “autumn”.
**UPDATE** It would appear that South Africa will be getting the device too. That’s according to the PlayStation SA Facebook Page.

Some gameplay for Mortal Kombat X. It’s pretty darn violent. Thankfully.

Powers was announced and is Sony’s original series for the PSN coming in December, with the first episode being free. However, all US PS Plus subscribers can watch the entire series for free. So everyone else will just download it then most likely…

There’s a Ratchet & Clank movie coming in 2015 (and the trailer below to accompany that announcement), as well as a new game. The game is expected in the first half of 2015.

The Last of Us Remastered has been dated. The game will be out for PS4 on 29 July.

Some pain. Some phantom pain actually. Or Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain to be exact.

GTA V was confirmed as heading to the PS4 (and Xbox One and PC) this fall. Woo-hoo!

Na-na-na-na-na Batman! The Scarecrow Nightmare missions for Batman: Arkham Knight will be exclusive to PlayStation. But the game looks great either way.

Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End ended the press conference. The game is due in 2015 on the PS4.

Tetris is coming to the PS Vita in the fall. But it’s also coming to the PC, PS4 and Xbox One.

And Sony’s marketing machine has these thrilling trailers for PS4, PS3, PS Vita and free-to-play content.

A number of trailers and videos didn’t appear at the press conference but have been released to coincide with E3. These are them.

The Last Tinker: City of Colors

Velocity 2X Alpha

Don’t Starve: Reign of Giants

Planetside 2

Oddworld: New ‘n’ Tasty will be out on PS4 on 22 June in the US and 23 June in Europe. The game is also due for release on PS3, PS Vita (with Cross-Buy on Sony platforms), Wii U, PC, Mac and Linux.
