We’re to blame for skipping last Friday’s feature. Unfortunately, we were stuck in the matrix known as work and lost three days. Hopefully that evil won’t befall us again.
Today we bring you local gamer Lady Jay, who loves flavored water and zombie killing. Look, we will start biting back soon you know. And flavored water… well, that’s just wrong.
Go ahead. Introduce yourself. Don’t be shy.
My name is Jessica Maij. Most people would know me as Lady Jay from the online community as it was my gamertag at a stage and so the name just stuck.
What’s you platform of choice? Why?
My platform of choice is most definitely console on PlayStation. When I was young, my parents bought me a PlayStation 2 and I stayed with it. I also love it because of some exclusive games that are on there.
Can you remember the first time you ‘gamed’?
The first time I ‘gamed’ was most probably when I was 6, when a friend of mine introduced me to console games on the PS1. Two years later, I got my very own PS2 where, you could say, I became addicted to gaming.
How long have you been gaming?
Well ever since I was 8. So that is about 13 years of gaming.
When do you think you’ll stop gaming?
I don’t think I’ll ever stop gaming. It is something that I’m good at and so I’ll always be gaming.
Are you a serious gamer? Or do you enjoy a laugh?
I am a serious gamer when it comes to competitive gaming. I also play games for the fun and laughs outside of competitive. So I am an all round gamer.
Singleplayer or multiplayer?
I play both single player and multiplayer. I love them both.
Is playing online important to you?
Yes it is. I mostly play Call of Duty online for competitiveness. I try to get as much practice as I can and learn some new things on that game to become a better player so yes it is important for me.
Are you a member of a clan? Who are they and why?
No I’m not part of a clan at the moment. I just recently left a team and now I’m in search of a new one.
Favourite game currently?
It’s a tough decision. The Assassin’s Creed and Uncharted series have always been a top favorite of mine, but recently, I just completed The Last of Us (yes a bit delayed with that game, I know), and it has been growing on me and could potentially be one of my new favorites.
Do you have any hobbies outside of gaming? What?
My other hobbies outside of gaming, would be sketching/drawing, and also creating 3D models and either animating them or making still images out of them.
You’re stranded on a desert island and a genie grants you five items. Name them:
A game: Uncharted 2
A CD: Any CD from Swedish House Mafia
A movie or TV series: Game of Thrones
An organic life form: My other half (so that I don’t eventually go insane) [We do quite well without our other half. It’s the head that still needs to be attached. – Undead Ed]
Something edible or drinkable: Flavored water
What’s the most embarrassing or worst game you’ve ever bought or received as a gift?
The worst game(s) that I use to own was Dr Do Little on PS2 and PES on PS3.
If you were a game designer, describe your ultimate game design.
Well… I just recently graduated as a Game Designer, and already have created 3 prototype games with class mates, so I’ll become a Game Designer one day. If I described my ultimate game idea, it could be stolen, but all I could say is that it would be a survival horror type game.
The zombie apocalypse has happened. You’re facing down a ravenous zombie horde (which may or may not include members of ZG in bikinis). What weapon do you grab?
The Bowie Knife till round 9 of the horde haha and then a LMG would be the best option against the horde.
In the aforementioned zombie apocalypse you humans are all toast. Become a turncoat and assist the superior zombies or stay with the soon to be wiped out human resistance?
I would stay with the human resistance. I would rather die trying to stay alive as long as possible.
Thanks for taking the time to answer our silly questions. What game are you off to play now that you’re done?
I’m off to go play some Zombies on Black Ops 3!
