Everybody repeat after me – Sex, scandal, controversy…sells sells sells!
I am not sure if EA were planning on as much hype around their upcoming controversial Medal of Honor. If they did, it was truly genius, as the publishing giants are claiming that Medal of Honor is breaking all pre-order figures from the series before.
The Medal of Honor has always been a popular series but many will argue that it could be the pre-order incentives and deals. The pre-order would definitely have helped, Amazon selling as many numbers as they do are offering a $20 video game credit on Xbox 360 and PS3 pre-orders of Medal of Honor Limited Edition. DICE developing the title with their pedigree and experience would also have helped. But don’t for one moment think the the Taliban controversy had nothing to do with inflating the numbers
Unfortunately EA will not release figures as yet.
Medal of Honor will be available for Playstation 3, Xbox 360 and PC and arrives 15 October.
