Sony will be giving a PlayStation 4 keynote address at the Tokyo Game Show on 19 September. Other than being entitled ‘The World PlayStation 4 Creates’, no other information is known at present. [More on Gematsu]

Developers on the PS4 can dynamically adjust what parts of their games are downloaded by consumers first, meaning that more in-demand content can be prioritised to ensure that the most in-demand content becomes playable while the rest downloads in the background. [More on CVG]

The Xbox One DVR (which records in-game footage to cloud) will record at a fixed framerate and resolution irrespective of the game’s settings. The DVR will play back at 720p and at 30fps. [More on IGN]

The second screen ‘Battlemap’ feature in Battlefield 4 will not be available on Xbox 360 and PS3 and will only work on PC and next-gen versions of the game. The new Battlelog will be available on all versions of the game. [More on Engadget]

Playground Games appears to be working on a sequel to Forza Horizon. Or at least on of the team members are “working as the only technical artist in the vehicle art team for an undisclosed next-gen Forza project.” [More on CVG]

The Rage franchise is not dead according to id Software co-founder Tim Willits. As to what or when something more will arrive in the franchise is unclear however. [More on Joystiq]

John Carmack is apparently not allowed to talk about Doom 4. Which means there is a Doom 4… one day in the future. [More on CVG]

Ubisoft Toronto head Jade Raymond believes multiplayer needs to be less “intimidating” in an effort to convince more players to try it out. More in an interview with her on Digital Spy.

Journey developer Thatgamecompany has said their next game still ‘years away” and that the “risky” project will be multiplatform. [More on CVG]

Sega is one of the bidders for Atlus who recently filed for bankruptcy. The highest bid for Atlus (by an unnamed company) has reached about £132 million ($203m). [More on CVG]

Crytek has confirmed that “some users’ login data” has been “compromised” following some “suspicious activity” on their websites over the weekend. [More on Polygon]
