Breakfast Wrap 02Good morning, and welcome to a relative short and sweet (but no less tasty) morning wrap of news you may have missed.

There is a new Xbox Live Dashboard update (if you haven’t already noticed) which introduces the switch from Microsoft Points to real-world currency. From Microsoft: “When you go to initiate a purchase or redeem a Microsoft Points card through your Xbox 360, we’ll add to your Microsoft account an amount of currency equal to or greater than the Xbox Marketplace value of your Microsoft Points. We’ll also continue to accept purchased Microsoft Points Cards and codes until further notice.”

DICE has confirmed that Battlefield 4 will launch with seven multiplayer modes and ten maps. The modes are: Team Deathmatch, Squad Deathmatch, Rush, Domination, Conquest, Defuse, and Obliteration. New mode, Obliteration, sees “two teams face off on medium-sized battlegrounds where one bomb spawns in a random central location. The mission: To pick up the bomb and arm it at one of the enemy’s three military installations and blow it up. When the bomb has detonated, a new bomb spawns in a random location, and the race is on again. The first team to destroy all three objectives wins.” Defuse is – according to DICE – “an even tighter and quicker infantry-only game mode” in which “players don’t have any respawns at all”.
