Black Ops 3 | November 2015 LAN – Details and Registration

CG_Blops 3_FB_01

Black is back and it is all shiny and new. We’re hosting our first LAN event for the latest entry into the Call of Duty franchise on Saturday 28 November 2015.

The tournament will be a 4v4 eSports event on the new Call of Duty competitive standard, the PlayStation 4, and forms part of the Cause Gaming Charity LAN. The event will see proceeds from the Call of Duty, a FIFA 16 tournament and the PC LAN go to the Chaeli Campaign.

That does not mean there are no prizes up for grabs. In fact, thanks to our new partnership with online retailer Raru, we have both vouchers and cash up for grabs. On top of that, we will have some additional partnerships to announce in the run up to the event, but would like to thank Scoop who sponsored our network equipment since EGE 2015.

Please note that this will be a bring your own event and we would like to run it as a groups into knock-out format. If your team is not able to bring their own equipment this may very well have an impact on the tournament and timelines and may be unfair on others.

Entry fee for the tournament R80 per player (R320 per team) and the guaranteed minimum prize pool is R5,400 (R3,400 in Raru vouchers and R2,000 in cash). Pre-registrations are now open and the initial team limit is 16 teams, but should demand be for more, we may expand this.

Spectators are more than welcome to attend the event, and entry will be free, but if you are there, it would make you an awesome human being if you donated to the cause being supported via this event.

You can make payment up front to secure your spot (bank details will be emailed if requested), or payment can be made on the day, but if you are not at the venue 15 minutes before the start and have only pre-registered but not paid, your spot will be offered to any other team waiting.

Please note that we will not supply any equipment to play in this tournament, but will supply the infrastructure (power, networking and administration), so please ensure you bring your PlayStation 4 (updated), a screen (preferably no bigger than a 27″), controller, headset and a copy of the game (updated).
