Activision Blizzard’s Bob Loya: “I’m really excited about Kinect”

Bob Loya, the director of Developer Relations and Acquisitions at Activision Blizzard echoed what has been previously disclosed, in that  Microsoft is to focus on titles that will appeal to the ‘core’ market.

In an interview with GamesIndustryBiz Loya was asked which platform he was most excited about since it has just grown considerably. His answer was Mcrosoft’s Kinect.

“Well, we’re big fans of all the platforms, and we want them all to sell well. First and foremost the software that’s coming out at launch needs to be great, and we’re really hoping that the public embraces each of the platform,” offered Loya.

“I know that Microsoft is gearing up another round of games that’s probably going to be focused more on the core gamer – that’s extremely exciting for me, to see what they’re able to come up with,” continued Loya.

He concluded his statement by explaining that he would also like to see what the technology [Kinect] is “able to do for those core audiences”  as opposed to the casual audiences which he said that Kinect already does a great job for.
