TT_January 2014_05

We’ve decided to kick our 2014 tournament year off with a two day double whammy.

On Saturday 18 January the first of our team-based Call of Duty Ghosts events for the season kicks off, while Sunday 19 January is singles day with FIFA 14 and Injustice: Gods Among Us.

We will be trying a few new things with the new year, and ramping a few things up to hopefully make our events better than ever before. While Trenchtown has been a home for us (and will continue to be so in 2014), we have a few other things up our sleeves that with the continued support of the community will come to fruition. So remember to help us help you…

The most critical change is with registrations. If you pre-register and pay via EFT, you will secure your entry at R50 per player (and your place when tournaments are restricted in numbers), while pre-registering via the site and paying on the day will cost you R55 per player. Walk-ins will still be accepted and charged at R60 per player. We will also be dropping all the paperwork for pre-registered players on the day – you walk-in, pay and get accreditation without having to sign or fill any documents in. However, by pre-registering, you do agree to the terms and conditions.

Bank details for those wishing to pay in advance will be sent on request – please do so via the registration contact form.

We have also tweaked our prize pool, and the effects are most noticeable in the individual events like FIFA 14.

You can still get a discounted pizza at R30 for a Margherita Pizza, but you must just ask an Admin member on the day when you are ready to eat.

Injustice will not require pre-registration, but remains a free-to-enter event. A hamper of goodies will be up for grabs, and registration will happen on the day.

Any players under 18 will be emailed a consent form when we spot your “yes” to the question of whether you are under 18. Bring the signed consent form along, and you will save yourself time, and us a fair amount of heartache.

Please note that we will no longer delay the start of events indefinitely. Should you not arrive on time and have not pre-registered, you can not participate. Should you pre-register and arrive late for your scheduled match (attempts to accommodate will be made) your opponent will be issued with a default win. Should that be in the loser’s bracket, you will be eliminated.
