A short and sweet tweet by Rockstar has suggested we “Look for news on L.A. Noire DLC next week!” We’re guessing it may be about the Best Buy outed DLC entitled “Nichlson Electroplating arson case”. Or it could be info on how players can get their hands on the pre-order bonus cases. Either way, the more L.A. Noire, the better.
In Short
L.A. Noire is a narrative crime thriller that blends movie-like cinematics with story driven gameplay to deliver an unprecedented and engrossing gaming experience. It’s the interactive story which has you solve crimes, favouring thorough detective work to build stronger cases against your suspect[s]. A deep, rewarding and unique experience from the publisher that we have come to expect this pedigree from.
A new automatic Title Update is out today for L.A. Noire on both PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

It would seem that a combination of over heating, crashing and freezing issues have hit some consoles while playing L.A. Noire. Originally thought to have something to do with the latest PS3 Firmware update, there has now been reports of issues with the Xbox 360 version too.
Here’s what to do if the issue affects you.
I’m going to be honest, of all the Crime Desks in L.A. Noire, Arson (along with Traffic) sounds the least glamorous. The screenshots are still nice.
Don’t forget, the game releases today in North America, and later this week pretty much everywhere else.
While L.A. Noire can be played in such a way that you only focus on the main cases on the five crime desks, there are also opportunities to attend to a variety of slightly more ‘random’ crimes. Check out some new screenshots from four crimes below.
It arrives next week, in all its crime busting glory, but today sees the launch trailer arrive to further wet your appetite. Enjoy.
Meet Captain James Donnelly – your Irish-born boss at the Homicide desk. I wonder if he will mind if you call him Jim.
