Saying farewell is never easy. Especially to a dear old friend that has served you well. For around the last year Black Ops 2 has been the catalyst for a rebirth of console LANs in South Africa that has seen more tournaments than ever before. To a small degree, this revolution even saw players move platforms from the PS3 to…
It’s hard to believe that just over a week ago rAge 2013 opened its doors to the masses. Oddly, the Friday appeared pretty darn quiet to these undead eyes. However, that didn’t stop the event from breaking its own attendance. That record-breaker was 32,626 attendees which equated to “just under 13% more than in 2012!” Most of them appeared to…
In Short The subtle improvements in gameplay will be noticed and appreciated by Fifa regulars. The matches seem less exploitable, more challenging or realistic, the mechanics are smoother than ever. The animations are only comparable to the NBA 2K series in my opinion, two franchises that offer the most incredibly realist-looking animations. Best of all is the game modes that…
This year’s rAge at the Coca-Cola Dome over the first weekend of October is looking to outdo last year’s record-breaking event. Kicking off on the 4th of October and running for three days until conclusion on Sunday 6 October, there is likely to be more than enough to keep most entertained for all three days, never mind a single day.…
Like all of the Trenchtown events to date, the morning started out with a downpour. Rain appears to accompany gaming, but thankfully, unlike the first Trenchtown event it didn’t appear to deter as many players. Even the slight risk of dropping Black Ops 2 for Halo 4 wasn’t quite the disaster-in-waiting it could’ve been. It’s pretty clear there is a…

There has been news, which also means there have been winners and losers. So let’s get to it shall we… Xbox South Africa has issued a press release stating that any Xbox One prices currently…
Legion certainly does conjure up fantastic images of thousands of undead warriors coming to take your brains. Well, it does to us – and it is quite a majestic image. Not for you humans of course. Luckily you have a legion of your own. While not yet made up of thousands they do appear know how to handle some military…
It’s Saturday 13 July at around 12:03. Looking over a sea of faces, the first (and only) thought that springs into this zombie’s head is: “Holy crap. That’s a lot of brains in a one place. It will take all day to get through brunch…” Allow me to translate that into human speak. “There were a lot of gamers crammed…
Let’s start by saying that had we got wind of this earlier, we would have made Stephanie Fouche our gamer of the week, because let’s be honest, anyone good enough to bag a sponsorship in gaming in South Africa is pretty darn awesome. 25 year old Stephanie (steph1401 on PSN) from Pretoria, Gauteng has become the first “female gamer in SA to…
